Safe Disposal Guidelines
🇺🇸 United States: Use DEA-authorized take-back programs. Find locations at DEA Diversion Control. Do NOT flush most medications. Mix with coffee grounds/cat litter if no take-back available.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom: Return unused/expired medicines to any pharmacy. They will dispose of them safely via incineration. Do not put in household waste or flush.
🇨🇦 Canada: Many pharmacies accept returned medications. Check with local pharmacy or municipal hazardous waste program. Some provinces have specific medication return programs.
🇺 Australia: Return unused medicines to any pharmacy for safe disposal via "Return Unwanted Medicines" (RUM) project. Do not flush or bin.
